5 Small Health-Boosting Morning Routines Every Women Must Try

Do you have any small morning routines you like to follow? Some of us have a few small habits that we want to do to start our day. Small good habits could add up and benefit you in the long run. Let’s discuss why small habits matter, what small habits could positively impact women’s health, and how you can potentially be consistent in making them stick.

Why Small Habits Matter and Add Up

Small habits may sound minuscule to most people, but they lead to big results. The more you continue to do small healthy routines, the more you’ll feel and look better. Starting with small, easy habits each day could add up to big results for your physical and mental well-being. One study in which 1,000 women in the U.S. workforce were surveyed showed how much of an impact a morning routine has on a woman’s productivity at work or home.

Some of the survey insights include that 9 in 10 working women with morning beauty routines agreed that having this significantly boosts their daily confidence. Also, over 90% of working women say that putting forth effort into their appearance positively impacts their mood and energy levels. Despite most women’s challenges, such as stress, hormonal cycles, and caregiving, making more time for small morning routines could have a positive impact on your work, home life, and health.

5 Small Morning Routines That Could Impact Our Health

There are plenty of small morning routines women could implement into their lives that could have a long-lasting impact on their health. Exercising, eating healthier, or meditating are just a few examples of healthy routines. You could try at least one a day to slowly benefit your overall well-being. Small steps lead up to big results. If you feel you need to develop a better morning routine, here are five small steps you can take to positively impact your health.

Taking a Walk (or a Run) Each Morning

Some people get up early in the morning to jog or walk a few miles. This could be a good, active routine you could have. With the weather starting to break, you could easily get your running shoes and start getting your heart pumping. Besides, there are a lot of mental and cardiovascular benefits to taking that morning job or walk each day.

Meal Prepping Your Breakfast for the Week

Have you ever thought about starting the week with meal prepping what you’re going to eat for breakfast each day? This could save you from having days of eating impulsively. Meal-prepping also motivates you to eat breakfast regularly, instead of skipping it. You’ll be able to give some thought to what you’re eating each morning.

Drinking Enough Water First Thing in the Morning

If you want your body to be well hydrated, drinking enough water is always essential. Drinking water also helps your digestive health. Most people tend to drink more water in the summer, but doing this every time of the year is important. It’s also vital after working out in the morning. So, whether you like your water to be alkaline or flavored, be sure to always include it in your morning routine.

Do Daily Morning Stretches after You Wake Up

This is an obvious must for anyone waking up in the morning. If you don’t engage in any morning stretching, your bones will start to ache. Engaging in various types of stretches before you go to bed and when you wake up could reduce some muscle strains. Stretching is especially important if you work behind the desk or as a caregiver. When stretching, consider focusing on the hips, spine, and shoulders.

Practicing 5 Minutes of Deep Breathing or Meditation

When you want to get your day off to a good start, why not engage in a few minutes of deep breathing or meditation? It’s not enough to feel good on the outside. You want to feel good on the inside, too. Try doing this after a hard, long day at work as well. Setting aside five minutes for deep breathing or meditation helps relieve any pent-up anxiety you’ve been having all night.

How You Can Make These Morning Routines Stick

Now that I’ve compiled a few ideas of some morning routines you could do regularly, the challenge is being disciplined enough to make them stick. Sometimes, it could be hard to loyally continue your routine each morning. It’s human nature to miss a morning or two. But it’s possible to make it happen when you try starting with one or two habits a week. Don’t try too many habits all at once. You’ll be putting too many eggs in your basket. Be sure to celebrate any small wins you make and stay flexible.
